Clara is passionate about creating opportunities for females in the workplace to ensure they have the careers they dream of.  Clara has been both a Returner and a Zig-Zagger having had a career as an energy commodities trader-analyst, left to study Fine Art, then returned to the workplace as a Scrum Master in a FinTech setting. 

Fast forward 10 years and Clara is now People Leader for the technology roles at Hymans Robertson LLP leading on best-in-class recruitment, learning and career development for digital roles across the firm.   Returners programmes, expanding the recruitment talent pools we access, targeted internships, career focussed mentoring and creating opportunities for career changes are all part of Clara’s day-to-day alongside the ongoing activities to encourage us all to think and do differently so that change in our workplace dynamic becomes reality. 

Through Trusteeship of Scotland Women in Technology Clara hopes to be able to support other firms make similar changes and to offer support and advice to anyone who wants to change the gender dynamic of their workplace.
